Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) is a minially invasive procedure to diagnose and treat diseases inside the chest cavity. During this procedure, a thin tube called thoracoscope is inserted inside the chest wall along with surgical equipment. Thoracoscope transmits the images inside the chest cavity to a video monitor, allowing the surgeon to perform the surgery.
